Demons are a new race which were added to Heroes of Gaia in the expansion "Rise of the Guilds". They are unable to be played as. They were named as Tier 11 and 12 units, and are used as 9 and 10 star monsters, level 11 treasure guardians.
These are usually stacked with 100-200 at the front, with 800-1500 Tier 8 ranged units at the back. However, sometimes one of the slots at the back, the Tier 11 or 12 monster is there.
Tactics: Most people use around 2000 Tier 8 ranged units at the back, and 3 scout units at the front, 1 per slot. They focus their ranged units on the monster's ranged units, and let the 3 scouts go forward. The monster's melee units attack the scouts, so they are not able to attack your Tier 8's. Your Tier 8's attack the monster's ranged units and killing them, then once your scouts are dead its your ranged units turn again, when they kill the melee units. This is a popular tactic since you win the battle and loose no troops. However, this is a tactic mainly used with strong heroes. If your hero's attack is not high enough, it won't kill the monster's ranged units, then when they hit, you will loose lots of troops. Also, if its not strong enough to kill the monster's melee units, they will reach your ranged units, and take a lot of troops.
